We recommend an over-night ferry to St. Malo, Roscoff, Caen, Le Havre or Cherbourg to arrive in the afternoon; or via the tunnel with a hotel stop en-route.

There are various itinery web sites giving directions for traveling around France. Clients have recommended the following : the AA, Michelin and Mappy.

If you prefer to fly, Nantes International Airport is an hour's drive away. There are flights to/from Paris and other major European capitals, plus a daily flight to/from Gatwick. Ryan Air have reasonably priced flights to Dinard (three hours drive away), la Rochelle and Poitiers; or Beauvais an airport near Paris. Hired cars can be organised to pick up at the airport.
